Netcycling

I'm netcycling my old Apple MacBook. In case you're wondering what I mean by "netcycling" - well, Netcycler is a company I have been working with since late 2009, which enables people to swap and trade items they no longer need for items they want. It is a fabulous wat to get rid of stuff as well, as you can give away things for free - in this way a few items in our house have found a new place where they're used and appreciated! The idea was developed with the the environment, cradle-to-cradle and an alternative to consumerism in mind, and I am very proud to be part of this company =)

My old MacBook which is up for swapping on Netcycler.

So instead of trying to sell the machine away, which I always find a hassle - I hate eBay - I decided to put it up on Netcycler. This way someone can get a great laptop and prolong the life of the machine, instead of it possibly ending up somewhere on a field in Africa or Asia. I wished for a lens, or a small compact camera in exchange for the laptop. You can check it out here, in case you're interested. I encourage you to try it yourself the next time you want to get something, or want to get rid of stuff - sign up here (Netcycler is currently available in Finland, Germany and the UK). I shall update this post once the swap is complete, and report on it =)

The new laptop, next to its predecessor.
